Match in Pictures: New Zealand 24-18 Fiji
Kiwis set up a tantalising semi-final against defending champions Australia on Friday night
By Josh Graham at MKM Stadium
Jordan Rapana's dramatic late show helped New Zealand come from behind to beat Fiji 24-18 and book a semi-final date with Australia.
The Bati looked like they were on course to repeat their 2017 upset over the Kiwis at the same stage after captain Kevin Naiqama's double helped them go 18-6 up shortly after half-time.
However, Michael Maguire's side fought their way back into the contest, restoring parity through Briton Nikora and Joey Manu.
Rapana's penalty edged the Kiwis ahead before his try in the final play brought the curtain down on a last-eight classic in Hull.
