Tommy Makinson's five tries set the tone for a pitch-perfect performance as England swept Papua New Guinea aside en route to the semi-finals

England's blistering start left Papua New Guinea shellshocked as they cruised into the semi-finals with a 46-6 win where they will face either Tonga or Samoa.
Tommy Makinson earned a first-half hat-trick, three of seven England tries in the first 40 minutes after Tom Burgess had opened the scoring.
Makinson got two more tries either side of Papua New Guinea's only score of the game as Jimmy Ngutlik crossed for the Kumuls.
