Try doubles for Jack Brown, Joe Coyd and Nathan Collins helped England off to a phenomenal start in the wheelchair Rugby League World Cup with a thrilling 38-8 victory over Australia.

The Wheelaroos took the lead through Diab Karim's chip and chase but had nothing else to show for their night's work as the hosts reeled off 26 unanswered points to establish a 20-point cushion at the break.

Lewis King's try stretched the lead further to 32-6 before Collins' second capped proceedings in fine style for the hosts with the Wheelaroos only able to add a Bayley McKenna penalty after the break.
