RLWC2021 and Community Integrated Care mark Learning Disability Week with launch of Walking for Wellbeing Guide

The guide helps users to create fun Rugby League World Cup inspired walking groups to improve health and happiness.

RLWC2021 have teamed up with Official Social Care Partner Community Integrated Care to create a free toolkit to create special RLWC2021 inspired Walking for Wellbeing Groups.

Using the World Cup and the Rugby League season as inspiration, the guide helps users create fun and social walking groups with a difference.

A Walking for Wellbeing Group is a team of people, who can be made up of friends, family, or even community and care services, who have fun walking together. But it is more than just walking - from mindfulness techniques to meal planning, every month builds simple skills that lead to happier and healthier lives.

People of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from this guide, but it is specifically designed to engage to people who access social care and support service. It is also perfectly suited to schools, community groups, amateur rugby league teams, or simply groups of friends who want to get active together.
