General Sale Ticketing Timeline Revealed
Rugby League World Cup 2021 has today revealed the ticketing timeline as the countdown continues to the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments taking place in October and November this year.
At a visit to a RLWC2021 CreatedBy funded community project at Victoria Park in Warrington Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Oliver Dowden CBE, again shared his support for the Rugby League World Cup 2021 this morning (Monday 29th March).
The Secretary of State reflected the positivity and optimism for the tournament with fans shortly to return back to enjoying live sport in stadia across the country.
On a day when community sport returns, RLWC2021 continue the optimistic and positive news by re-opening the ticket purchase window with the Rugby League family being rewarded for their support during the pandemic with a chance to secure their place in history during the final Priority Access Sale. This five-day window opens on 30 March at 09:00, ending on 4 April 20:21.
To reward fans for buying during this window RLWC2021 organisers are offering those that spend over £100 in a single transaction, 21 chances to win their money back. Additionally, all fans who buy during the Priority Access Sale will receive a limited-edition RLWC2021 wall planner.
Eligible fans include RLWC2021’s database of fans, previous ticket buying customers, associated partners and hosts. Fans can still sign up to be part of the final Priority Access Sale.
To celebrate 200 days to go until the opening match at St James’ Park Newcastle, General Admission sale for the wider public will then begin on April 6 at 9:00am, with the remaining tickets available to the exciting 61 fixtures across three tournaments – men’s, women’s, and wheelchair. On that day, RLWC2021 will also be launching competing nations merchandise via the RLWC2021 Official Shop.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets until Tuesday 1 June, where tickets will go off sale for seat assignment.
Jon Dutton, Chief Executive of RLWC2021, said: “It’s another positive moment on our journey to deliver the biggest and best ever Rugby League World Cup later this year by revealing our ticketing timeline.”
“We remain extremely hopeful and optimistic that the tournament will go ahead as planned although we remain realistic about the challenges that still lie ahead, not least international travel and quarantine. We would like to thank Secretary of State, Oliver Dowden, and the Government for their continued support.”
“In addition, we thank the Rugby League family and the enormous number of people who have purchased tickets during such uncertain times over the past few months.”
Tournament organisers have also issued a ticket refund guarantee for all ticket buyers should there be restrictions on crowds at the event and to reassure fans in the unfortunate circumstance the event has to be cancelled.
Premium seats and Hospitality experiences are still on sale and available for all matches and will give fans the opportunity to secure a place at the tournament in addition to enjoying the best match day experience each venue has to offer.
Fans can also secure their ticket through booking their Squad Trip including accommodation and experiences all in one place – making it easy to plan your trip and giving you a great choice across our host towns and cities.
