The moment is finally here, and you can officially buy tickets to Rugby League World Cup 2021 from this coming Monday 21 September 2020, as our Priority Access Sale window opens from 09:00 BST.

To answer all your questions, our very own Headteacher, Miss E, is back to give you the lowdown and we’ve put together a series of answers to frequently asked questions below to ensure you know everything about purchasing your tickets for the biggest and best Rugby League World Cup of all time. 


How long is the Priority Access Sale Window open for? 

The Priority Access Sale for the Rugby League Family opens at 09:00 September 21 and will close at 20:21 on October 1 (BST) 2020. 

Who has access to the Priority Access Sale?  

The Rugby League family includes all those signed up to the RLWC2021 fan database, previous Rugby League ticket buying customers, volunteers and associated partners. Excited fans can still sign up to be part of the Priority Access Sale and purchase tickets until the close of the window on October 1 at 20:21. 

If you are already signed up then you will receive your access link for the Priority Access Sale prior to 09:00 (BST) on September 21 or following signing-up if you register after this time.

How many tickets can fans buy per transaction? 

Fans can purchase up to a maximum of 10 tickets per match. Apart from the men’s and women’s final at Old Trafford, where fans can buy up to 6 tickets.

Why are RLWC2021 offering a Priority Access Sale for the RL family? 

The opening of the Priority Access Sale will reward the Rugby League community at large and offer loyal fans the first opportunity to purchase their tickets to next year’s showpiece event that promises to the biggest and best Rugby League World Cup ever. 

2020 promotional rate ticket prices

Fans are rewarded for buying in 2020 with promotional rates; 80 per cent of tickets are under £50, double header Old Trafford final tickets start from £30 and a family of four can attend France v Greece for an affordable £35. Tickets will increase in 2021.

RLWC2021 refund policy

Tournament organisers have guaranteed a full refund for all ticket buyers should there be restrictions on crowds at the event and to reassure fans in the unfortunate circumstance the event has to be cancelled (as per our terms and conditions).

How can I pay? 

The focus is firmly on the fans, families and youth audiences as the tournament offers a flexible interest free ticket payment option through financial services company, Klarna. Through Klarna RLWC2021 are only offering the pay later three-monthly instalments payment option.

Applicants will also be able to pay for their tickets using one of the following other payment methods available: payment card, GooglePay and ApplePay.

Accessibility Tickets 

RLWC2021 can confirm that accessibility tickets will available at all 61 matches across the tournament and every wheelchair ticket will come with a complimentary ticket for a companion.

Ticket processing fee

A processing fee of £4.00 will apply to each customer transaction but does not apply to every ticket i.e. customers can buy several tickets in one transaction and only pay £4.00 fee. 

UNICEF donations

RLWC2021 will also make a financial contribution across all ticket sales phases to benefit the brilliant work of Official Tournament Charity Partner UNICEF (UK). As part of the £4.00 ticket processing fee RLWC2021 will donate 50p to UNICEF who will use the power of the tournament to raise awareness and funds for vital work protecting children in the UK and internationally. 

Ticket delivery fee

Applicants will have the option to select their preferred method of delivery for their tickets.

Applicants will be able to select digital tickets (print-at-home/mobile) for free. This will also help the tournament to be as environmentally friendly as possible. 

For Applicants wishing to have their tickets printed and delivered it will cost £4.95 for UK based applicants to receive their tickets via secure post, £17.50 for deliveries across European countries and £23.50 to post tickets to the rest of the world.

Do Key Workers have to buy through the Priority Access Sale?

No. Key workers will be able to fill out a separate application for tickets here: rlwc2021.com/keyworkertickets which has all the information on and will guide key workers through their applications for tickets for RLWC2021.
