Glory Days appointed RLWC2021 International Fan Travel Experiences Provider

The Edinburgh-based company has a great tradition in sport and particularly within Rugby League, including at the Rugby League World Cup held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in 2017.

Today we can announce we've appointed Glory Days as our International Fan Travel Provider, who will provide Rugby League fans across the world the chance to be a part of the biggest and best Rugby League World Cup in history.

The Edinburgh-based company has a great tradition in sport and particularly within Rugby League, including at the Rugby League World Cup held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in 2017.

Glory Days will manage and work with approved international agents around the world to provide a range of ticket-inclusive experiences to give the huge international fan base a chance to be part of the Rugby League carnival in England next year.

Glory Days will also provide a direct to consumer retail programme for international fans, with a particular focus on emerging nations in this area to build engagement and drive a legacy for the tournament’s fan travel programme.

RLWC2021 Official International Fan Travel Experiences will be available from 1 September 2020, with fans able to access full details via rlwc2021.com. Details of the tournament’s Official Domestic Fan Travel Experiences will be released at next month’s pre-sale ticket window on 21 September 2020.

The partnership with Glory Days will support the tournament’s ambition to be the most fan-focused Rugby League World Cup ever. 61 matches across 21 venues will be played between 23 October 2021 and 27 November 2021, creating inspirational moments that engage and excite both existing fans and a new generation of followers.

Glory Days was established in 2001 and is a specialist in event packages for both individual and group bookings, incentive travel and destination management.

“With 21 unique nations represented across our 32 participating teams, and millions of rugby league fans around the world, we are looking forward to welcoming international visitors to England next year.
“Crowds are slowly coming back to sporting events which is providing added consumer confidence, so we hope Rugby League World Cup 2021 offers a world class event for people to plan for and look forward to. We will offer a full refund should there be Government restrictions which lead to reduced capacities or if the event is cancelled due to circumstances out of our control. We expect up to 10% of our ticketed audience to be international fans and with Glory Days want to provide unforgettable and unique experiences within England, including at our 18 host towns and cities.”
