CreatedBy Workshop - Developing a Sustainable Community Sports Project
Five workshops are being delivered across the north of England
RLWC2021 and The RFL have teamed up with leading sports business advisors Sporting Assets to offer clubs in the north of England the opportunity to learn more about how to develop and deliver a successful project, and how to fund it.
The workshops will have two main benefits for clubs: firstly, there will be an opportunity to find out more about the Rugby League World Cup 2021 ‘CreatedBy’ capital grants programme, where funds totalling £10 million are available to organisations looking to develop their rugby league offer through better equipment and facilities.
Secondly, clubs will be guided through the key features of successful project development, including good governance, business planning, stakeholder engagement, fundraising and impact measurement. At the end of the workshop there will be a chance for clubs to discuss specific issues with the session’s hosts.
Five workshops are being delivered across the north of England in June, at the following locations:
17th June @ 6:30pm – Newcastle (Kingston Park, Brunton Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, NE13 8AF)
19th June @ 6:30pm – Warrington (The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Mike Gregory Way, Warrington, WA2 7NE)
20th June @ 6:30pm – Huddersfield (The Zone, St Andrew’s Road, Huddersfield, HD1 6PT)
25th June @ 6:30pm – Hull (KCOM Craven Park, Poorhouse Ln, Hull, HU9 5HE)
26th June @ 6:30pm – Workington (Seaton Rangers ARLFC, Station Yard, Seaton, Workington, CA14 1NP)
Each session will begin at 6.30pm and last for two hours.
