Rob Meaden - Head of Communications
What attracted you to working for RLWC2021?
Having been fortunate to spend the past 14 years working in media roles across various sports, I am very much looking forward to having the opportunity to be part of a major sporting event that has the potential to be genuinely impactful for the sport and the communities it represents.
What is your favourite sporting memory?
From a spectator point of view, it’s hard to look past England beating New Zealand in the 2019 Cricket World Cup Final. I wasn’t ‘there’ but watching from home was enough to have me hiding behind the sofa as the drama played out.
In terms of personal experience, the buzz of just being in London for 2012 stands out, with a particular highlight coming from walking through Farringdon Station and experiencing the collective cheers and elation as another Gold medal was secured in Super Saturday.
