What attracted you to working for RLWC2021?

Rugby has been a massive part of my life ever since the age of ten. It was the first sport that I was good at (being 11 stone as a 10 year old can be advantageous when you're sprinting at someone!). All jokes aside, the opportunity to work on such a great project with a team who has such ambition and wants to leave a lasting legacy would be foolish to pass up on. Particularly the goal of improving inclusively and reducing barriers and social stigmas in sports is an area I am greatly passionate about, and something which I particularly want to help towards through the RLWC2021 - a passion which I know my colleagues share and that I will enjoy working on this year.

What is your favourite sporting memory?

It has to be the canoeing at the London 2012 Olympics. I went along with my mother to Lee Valley and we had front row seats where Great Britain managed to win two gold medals! The atmosphere was incredible and to be at such a great event right on our doorstep and watch us get two gold medals was a once in a lifetime experience that I'll never forget. A close second is watching Tyson Fury knockout Deontay Wilder in the rematch in February 2020. I don't think my vocal chords have ever been the same since then.
