Kait Ludwig - Customer Lead
Kait, what attracted to you working for RLWC2021?
I’ve worked in rugby league for 10 years now with the Canberra Raiders, Super League and the Rugby Football League. Over that time, I’ve been incredibly lucky to work on large-scale events and major tournaments but nothing as big as a World Cup. It was 2016 when I first heard that England had won the rights to host in 2021 and since then I have had my eye on working on this project and with this team. My role as Customer Lead allows me to work across marketing, ticketing and fan experience, which are all areas I am very passionate about as a rugby league fan myself. Everyone here is driven by success and is a team player – all things I was attracted to when applying to work for RLWC2021.
What is your favourite sporting memory?
That’s hard because I have 2.. and yes, I am a self-confessed rugby league nerd.
Growing up, my favourite memory was the Queensland State of Origin win in 2006.
As the only Maroons supporter out of all my friends in high school in Canberra (predominantly NSW territory) this win ended a long stint of ribbing/banter from my classmates – who knew it would lead to an 8-year streak?
More recently, watching the Canberra Raiders play in the 2019 NRL Grand Final. Their first for 25 years, was very cool.
If you weren’t Customer Lead, what would you be?
Working in Health and Wellness. I really enjoy engaging with people through fitness and nutrition.
